Learning to Fly with RAFSA
Learning to fly is not an overnight process but is not an impossible dream either. It is one of life’s great adventures and, for those who have achieved their Private Pilot Licence (PPL), it is also one of life’s greatest pleasures. Unrestricted freedom of movement in three dimensions means that learning to fly is both challenging and rewarding. Furthermore, it is not only fun but can lead to interesting sporting, career and travel opportunities.
By joining a RAFSA Flying School, you can rest assured that you are in very capable hands. As Declared Training Organisations (DTOs), providing flight training in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, instruction to Private Pilot Licence standard is delivered safely following a common RAFSA syllabus. Most RAFSA Flying Schools operate a mixed fleet of light aircraft types, including two latest-generation Tecnam P2008JC aeroplanes, both equipped with modern avionics and glass cockpits. All aircraft are strictly maintained to EASA 145 and Part M subparts G & I by approved maintenance companies.
The training requirements for the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL), as well as the additional flying qualifications and ratings that can be added to a licence, can be found through the following links below. However, whilst reading provides useful background knowledge, a visit to a RAFSA Flying School for a look-see and chat with an Instructor is highly recommended. Why not contact a School and take that first step?! Contact details can be found through the Locations Tab….. Do it!
